You can rent a car from the airport and drive to Château de Courtomer. It is a beautiful and scenic 2h30 drive.

How do I get to the Château?

(taking a train)

From Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport you can either take the metro or Uber/taxi ride (30 minutes without traffic) to Paris Montparnasse train station. The metro is within the airport. Once you arrive at Paris Montparnasse train station, you will take a train ride to the town of L’Aigle (1hr20min). The best things to do in Normandy while you are not celebrating with us:

Birthplace of Impressionist art

Major towns in Normandy are Rouen, Caen, and Bayeux. Normandy is known for their Viking history, cider, cheese, and being the birthplace of Impressionist art! Claude Monet (water lilies!) grew up in Le Havre which is a sea side town in Normandy. Honfleur is also known to be a beautiful port (1hr30min from the Château).

Mont-Saint-Michel

Perched on a rocky islet in the midst of vast sandbanks exposed to powerful tides, at the limit between Normandy and Brittany, stands “Wonder of the West”, a Gothic-style Benedictine abbey dedicated to the Archangel St Michel, and the village that grew up in the shadow of its walls. The silhouette of Mont-St-Michel is one of the most enchanting sights in France! And don't forget to get lost in the labyrinthe of tiny streets filling this beautiful Rock.

Château de Chenonceau

Lies within The Loire Valley, but only 2 hours away by car! Chenonceau was first built during the Renaissance and subsequently expanded by a series of aristocratic women. In our opinion this is one of the most beautiful places in the region.

Gifts

Your presence is enough of a present to us.

However if you still want to give a gift, we will set-up an online registry where you can contribute to our Honeymoon.
